The only one I ever saw in 40 years that I believed was one clearly made by a soldier in the field from a Zeltbahn. It had the right shape, no liner, side flaps, buttons or insignia, ventilation holes poked through with a sharp object, and heavily worn. I think the idea of one being made with insignia and a liner is silly.

There are Waffen-SS Italian camo pattern M43 with insignia and liners (I own one). Not field made though.
