Waffenfarbe check

    There is also a reddish bright hue of the "Copper-brown" recon waffenfarbe.

    You can see it in post number 3 and 4 of this thread http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...t=copper+brown. It is the souctache on the officer sidecap

    Looking at the out-door image number 11, of the four hats together, I wonder if that is a possibility in this case ?

    Some waffenfarbe colours are very hard to judge without holding the hat in hand,

        In the first post #1 thought maybe recon & sunlight and the comparison in post #11 still doesn't hurt this case too much. It's red artillery imo.

          Hi Mike,
          The original photos supplied had me vote for panzer. The natural light makes me consider more artillery. Generally, I use the cocade red center as a base for determining artillery.
