    Thanks Stonemint and N.C.

    I have have never seen an exposed stitch below (or above) the piping like this on a visor as well. The thicker white, almost furry liner-to-body thread is also not what I see on my other visors. I'd prefer a rayon or silk tan or gold - but maybe I'm just looking too hard.

    Thanks again - I haven't looked hard at too many SS General's caps.

          Is that a photo of a cap-cord button with brass prongs? If so, that too is noteworthy . . .

            I can't tell from the pictures either. Are brass prongs the kiss of death on these? Is this a 50/50 OK cap, or a definite stinker?

            I am fine walking away - just don't want to walk away from a good one.
