M43 opinion please

If this is indeed a post war repro..why in the world would they use a black trapezoid when both styles were readily available..and are some now saying the white piped film marked and dated m43 officers are being called into question???

I brought up the white piped M43. I only mentioned it because it was the first one I ever saw and G. Petersen told me what it was. I don't recall any markings. If someone questioned them as being original it wasn't me. Jim
