It's unusual that the overlapping end is in the front.

Nothing, just plain cardboard ....

Out of all the visors I've handled, I think only one or two had the overlap in the front but they weren't erels.

Anyone got another erel like this?

Marc, once again in my opinion this visor does not exhibit some of the construction traits of an original Erel, to include the overall shape of the cap itself. There was one that was identical to this one save for the bullion insignia that was floating around gunbroker.com a few years ago.

Dear Marc,

I'd say the insignia incl. the chin cords are original (the wreath may not be a beauty, but still real). Lining is also good from what I can tell...
