Side cap eagle+cockade will be an easier combination to find ...
You can see those T sets in black but always mint and pretty expensive also .

      Great pics, thanks!

This cap also looks like it's been converted. I think I can see a grommet and a line of stitching on top of the visor.

So guys, which eagle would be more suitable for an M42, white or grey or doesn't it matter?

I don't think it would really matter Ben, but I like the look of the gray eagles better. That's just a matter of personal taste though. Matt

I'll check my goodie box and see if I have a used, grey, T-form for panzer.

Matt, I like the grey ones better too!

Robert, much appreciated although there is clear evidence that this cap had a separate eagle and cockade. It still has some of the stitching thread stuck in the fabric.

Nice find Ben, indeed not often encountered. Herewith an example that was found at a local Italian market. The T-trap was on it although crudely sewn and to what appears a (the original?) replacement.

That's a beauty, thanks for posting!

The visor looks to be very similarly constructed, quite thick and stitching the same distance from the edge. How does it look underneath?
