          As I suggested earlier, a flatwire on gray "T" insignia is extremely rare and should be priced accordingly. Here are a few early Bergmutz "T"s, all of which are relatively difficult to find:

            This flatwire "T" is apparantly on feldgrau but possibly the earlier gray yet cut off of an officer's Bergmutze:

                    A fine looking example with the silver pebbled buttons that (unlike the cap which introduced this thread) I would expect to see on an officer's Bergmutze. Also of note is that some of these officer's "T" insignias were produced with the "white" field of the cockade in flatwire while others have the eagle in flatwire and the cockade in white thread.
