quality of the material is what we see on modern repros...too fluffy...new thread...no patina....even mint original ones dont look so fresh..maybe am wrong but by the pics i dont like it...

That is what concerns me

The hat has been worn because of sweat marks on the inside fabric so at least it was worn in a reenactment, movie, or Halloween party. Yes that what concerns me too, the fluffy wool which has some reddish tinge. It is always good to get input from the forum-thanks.
