I don't care to argue the case on this cap, you asked for opinions on it and I have given you one, I'm sorry it was not the one you were looking for. You can tell your friend that someone who alleges to have looked at a lot of LW M-43 caps over the years is not convinced that this one is genuine.

IMO If the cap was unissued, it will show some wear even if was kept in dark safe with all the protection and preservation, that looks way too mint.
