You would still be legally required to declare the item and pay the VAT.

HH's website specifically states that VAT will NOT be refunded, so that leads me to believe we in the colonies must pay their usurious 23% buyers fee.
        Any conflicting opinions?
Does not the UK impose a VAT? I have bought items there for over 30 years, and have never paid VAT, including medal & militaria auctions.
