Thanks for all the replies!! I took it over to a forum member today, and thought it all looked good, even the same color of an overseas army cap he was going to sell. Other than the trap being hand sewn, thought all was well. Any other opinions would be great, thanks to all!!

Plenty of officer M43s and sidecaps don't have sweatbands.

That's a fact IMO. I like it for several reasons. Trap is postwar added, of course.

Still not a representative piece that I would want, but I agree that it has a similar lining that I've seen on other Dutch made headgear.
