    Not sure what that means?

Some years ago my sons wore both the AH & Goring visors,
so a DNA swab may turn up some Irish & English test results.

        Hello Ron:
Your "...It really should be in a museum..." sounded to me
like a line spoken in one of the Indiana Jones movies...

Fedora: You got heart, kid. ...
Fedora: But that belongs to me.
Young Indy: It belongs to Coronado.
        Fedora: Coronado's dead, ...
Young Indy: This should be in a museum!

Ok understand now. I have only seen parts of that movie anyway. Now I will have to watch it!

I like history and always wanted to preserve as much as possible.

It is awesome if this is actually real as you guys have said. But I must say, other than the fact that it belonged to Hitler himself, the cap itself does not look very appealing at all. Not enough padding, the saddle looks so-so, I have seen so many better looking visors than this!

Haha, I know, just my sour grape "I-am-bitter-because-I-can't-afford-it" talk.

Kogy, there is a passage in a book (can't recall which) in which one of his secretarial staff even commented to him about basically how ridiculous the hat looked and that he should get a different one--of course, he kept it.

                How frugal Hitler was!

I'd say all of his generals, not to mention Goring, had much better looking visors.

Aesthetically, I'd rate the Goring visor and any of the senior Diplomatic visors much higher than anything Hitler ever wore, with the exception of his white-top, which may or may not have survived (his white tunic did, so...)

The CG visor cap looks exactly like the one pictured in Johnson's "German War Booty" from the Wolfe collection.

What I really want is Jackie Kennedy's pink pillbox hat worn on Nov. 22, 1963 - it's been missing since the assassination.

Would take bets over which hat would bring more at auction. Opinions?

Well, seeing since Jackie's pillbox cap disappeared under strange circumstances, chances are it would be returned to the Kennedy family.....Bodes

btw....I still think AH's hat with proper provenance would fetch more money....JMHO

Thanks Chris. Now that makes more sense!

This one was published in HHG Vol 3 attributed to Angolia. Has anyone seen it, or does anyone have better pics of it? Where is it now?
