Me too, that's the only way to really make an educated opinion of it. Some close up shots of the sweatband stitching as well please.

I have to say though that I like what I see so far. The August Mueller foil print looks authentic and is obviously flaking off which is a good sign. Also, the trikot looks period, they haven't got this right yet on the fakes I've seen so far. Purple rayon lining? yeah, why not. It's a Generals cap after all.

Sorry it took so long for me to post. With things getting started so soon, I've been slammed. Anyway, here are two additional pictures.

And as requested, some close-ups. One pic of the stitching, and one pic of the trikot weave.

The hat came out of a very big collection, but the collection DID contain number of fake hats. Still, when I bought this cap, I believed (and still believe) it to be a genuine hat. In fact, it is possible I sold it to the collector myself about 7 or 8 years ago ... I honestly can't remember. So although I don't like to quote "It came from so-and-so" in this case, I can name drop, cause the name I'm dropping is my own

I don't see anything to be concerned about.

I hadn't seen anything problematic either, but it's always good to be cautious.
