I know it was but the thread pretty much had no conclusion. I am not in it much more than that honestly (around 100 and figured it was well worth the risk). I have absolutely no issue with it being a legit cap and figured I would see what everyone else had to say about it for discussion reasons and what not. I tend to lean that it was a luft cap and was so worn that the leather SB probably came out and it was then hand resewn and only a little is left. The cap seems to have been a factory produced and just heavily worn in my opinion. Either way its a keeper for me. Matt
