        I dont think these a very common maker wise..Looks AOK to me from the fotos..like the earlier cockade on this date cap... Billbert

            Thanks so much for posting this fine M40. Looks real good. The 842 stamp also is very interesting, as i have only seen it on the Hans Brandt sidecaps before now.

            Has anyone seen the 842 stamp on any M40's or sidecaps besides this cap & the Brandts ?
