                Fairly certain. You can see that the black Bitumen type coating of the peak stuck to the frame of the cap and the construction is fitting with the timeframe and design of the cap which looks to some kind of lightweight Imperial Colonial cap?

                The vulcanfibre peak now on it, IMO, looks out of place as does the black ribbon bow at the back.

                  Thanks Ben. Supposedly it's a colonial naval forces cap. Here's the link which made me think the visor was incorrect

                        Ron, I found this Seebattalion image taken in Kiautschou, China, circa 1905. You can just about see that the peaks have a wider, flatter profile than a vulcanfibre peak of the period would have.
