Reichsbahn / Bahnschutz Direktor Visor Hats

My limited references still have not referred to this hat in regulations, but they were no doubt manufactured and worn, albeit in limited numbers.

I have seen these hats referred to as Prasident der Reichsbahn (or Bahnschutzpolizei); Reichsbahn-Direktor / Bahnschutzpolizei-Direktor visors, etc.

Until I saw Paul S', the only ones I had seen were in DRB blue. It also appears that Erel had an exclusive on these: (This one is from the old French headgear book):

Here is one from the old Shutt book, which has a more pronounced ridge on the visor than the above one (where is this now?):

Note how Shutt refers to them as a "Bahnschutzpolizei Director" hat.

This is an insignia close-up of the hat in his book. All of them that I have seen have been in celleon:

Here is Paul S', in field gray, also an Erel. Is the field-gray for Bahnschutz, or use outside the Reich proper?:

This is the only known wartime pic of one of these in wear, here worn by Dr. Ing. Karl Remy, who was not a member of the Bahnschutz, but a Reichsbahn Prasident. (He was also a KVK w/ swords recipient):

These have been faked. This is a heavyweight "Erel" fake of the visor:

Now, to confuse the issue. This hat was for Reichsbahn Direktor Bock (formerly of the Michael's collection, now of Paul S). As a Direktor, he wore the standard insignia, but in all-bullion:

& here is the "standard" (such an inappropriate term for such a rare hat) visor of a Bahnschutz General (also of the Paul S collection). This BzP General's hat would be of the type worn up until 1941:

Can't help from the collector real/fake aspect or regs, but an extremely handsome design in all cases

This was sold on Hermann Historica a few years ago. I have my doubts:

Wow; that field grey cap is very handsome and impressive. Thanks for showing it.

This was sold as a "<!-- google_ad_section_start -->Reichsministerium für besetzte Ostgebiete dunkelblaue Schirmmütze für einen Ministerialdiregenten der Deutschen Reichsbahn Ost".
