This is not the same cap Goring is wearing in his surrender pics- look at the eagles!

It appears that Göring's capture cap has a separately applied eagle. I would think Göring would have had multiples of the M-43 design like he had many other hats and uniforms at his various homes.

Is he ever pictured wearing an m-43 other than at the time of his surrender? I believe it was made-up to go with his austere "surrender" tunic, and that he may have had only one, and that the one in the auction is not it!

Not sure why the owner of this caps name (Peter Jackson) is such a big secret as he has his personal collection publicly displayed with his WW1 aircraft and 1:1 scale diorama's at Amaka.

I popped in and was pleased to see he had rearranged his display due to aquiring many more items. While there I was told by an older gentleman of 92 that Sir Peter has plans to extend the Mueseum to include his WW2 collection of aircraft over the next couple of years. Ye Gods just Imagine the 1:1 WW2 aircrft diorama's he may do.. each and everyone are like mini movie sets.

And last but not least a close up of the cap...not the best pic as the lighting is very dark . What I personally loved about this cap close up was the real age and toning it exhibited but especially the quality! ....it was absolutely stunning !!!
