          Erich,

Please tell us it didn't fit.

I've got a big head Richard, but there was room to spare.

                Erich,

I remember...I met you at the SOS, but I didn't remember it being that bulbous.

Ha ha ha...I'm totally pulling your leg, I thought you had a very normal size noggin.

I believe this is the hat Hermann Göring wore at the Nurnburg War Crimes Trials. I had the opportunity to examine and handle this hat, back in the early 1970s and it is a stunning example of the hat makers art.

There are few items lust for, but an original Hermann Göring visor hat and pair of Reichsmarshall shoulder boards are at the top of my list.

Thank you for posting this wonderful hat and bringing a true treat for our eyes.

It sold for around 200k, plus Andreas's fees.

Although. IMO, it's the most beautiful piece of headgear from this period. The Hitler visor's are nice to, although the Göring visor is just

I would be more happy with this one than a field marshal's baton.

I agree that its the pinnacle of TR headgear, and really a bargain at that price! How much would a Hitler hat sell for by way of comparison?

A bargain, IMO. I don't care for the guy who wore it, but the guy who made it was an artist. The only other hat that I like this much is MacArthurs.
