Thanks for the kind comments. IMHO, this hat was originally badged this way. I am unaware of any GJ elements that were armored infantry. Most likely the haberdasher not having the correct shade of GJ green.

I always prefers a decent spacing for the edelweiss , with the eagle placed higher. Other any dumbass could have placed an edelweiss there , period or more likely after. This applies even more when it is "panzergren " piping. Like in the first cap on the tread as opposed to the last one. J
