    Panzergrenadier oder Gebirgsjaeger?

This hat is a genuine Pekuro. The piping is definately grass-green. Eagle looks to not have been moved to accomodate the Eidelweiss.

I am rusty on my org of the GJ divisions, but I do not believe they had a PzG unit?

If so, then maybe a case of the haberdasher not having any medium green in stock, and simply throwing on an Eidelweiss?

If not, why desecrate the much rarer PzG visor postwar?

      I would more say Panzergrenadiere.
Who put a Edelweis on a Pz.Gren. cap?

There has been numerous discussions here on the forum that showed the various greens, especially jager and panzer gren were used across the board by both. Cross contamination did occur apparently quite fequently. I agree though this color is textbook panzergrenadier. Amzing visor, one can only guess as to when the edelweiss sprouted on it. Jacques

No doubt a PzGn. I believe this is the visor I saw at this years SOS. I'm not aware of any reason for the Edelweiss to be there.

that is a sexy cap, pz. gren for sure but likely used by a GJ. I have seen many GJ tunics with pz. gren boards and the other way around. The visors are likely the same way, course you would really stand out in a bunch of grass green and then there you are....looking all mech Inf Stellar visor though. Matt

                Hi Chris,
It looks like a wonderful visor under any circumstance.
As for the waffenfarbe, it is certainly panzergrenadier. As already mentioned, the colors for gebirgsjager and panzergrenadier were often mixed up either for lack of available colors readily at hand, or confusion on the part of the tailor. Regardless, it is certainly a war-time visor used as gebirgsjager, and just fine, in my opinion.
                Thank you for sharing,
                Curtiss

Well, I just had to have this visor, since it was stonemint, and made by my favorite maker, Pekuro:

                      Thanks, Andy.

Hat probably dates to 1944. Wool is almost a blanket-wool in quality.

With the exception of the wreath, all insignia is zinc:

                              Hi Chris,
Excellent acquisition! I think that is a good decision to add this lovely visor to your collection.
                              Congratulations,
