I am getting better as for detecting fakes but I really want to specialize in finding out how to know if you can tell a fake M43 hat from an original as well as overseas caps. I would like to specifically specialize in the luftwaffe M43's. What I have seen on the forum so far is the different types of stitching used for cap insignia. Is there anything else I can look for in detecting a fake? Are there books that may specialize in combat caps? Any help would be well appreciated!
