    Luftwaffe visors

    I was able to pick this up today, which came straight from the family.

    both visors are Erel, the white topped dated 1939 in the sweatband and the blue one dated 1941. There were also 3 pair of shoulder flaps and the officers dress belt. Unfortunately he was a medical officer but better than nothing.

                        the size label is in both hats. Strangely enough the diamond on the inside of the white topped hat is off center

                          that could be a good point about his being a doctor. there is some corrosion on the eagles.

                            Now I have found out why the diamond was not centered- it is removable! Here is a photo of the diamond for the white hat.
