A neighbor of mine growing up was german born..a member of the Sa briefly..emigrated to US during the depression and served in US ARMY..His Brother and mother lived in Berlin suburbs..His brother worked in the Propaganda Office and was an SS member..He saw his brother in films about the KZ lager..I m betting he owned 1 of these RARe caps..Billbert

WW2 was a brother against brother war for him..
Mom survived all of war in berlin and died in the early 80 s...
Brother died shortly after war..

I would love to see any period pics of this uniform/visor in wear. The only pic I am aware of is the one that led off this thread.

Here is one from the French Rayot pic that they list as Propaganda (no interior shot). I don't know how they came up with it being Prop:
