Hello Karl, Roya, and KM Spain,
Thank you very much for your comments. Only because I am just a little bit paranoid about the marine to Kriegsmarine conversion fakes, I want to ask about the past board. I tried to take a picture showing the full part of the past board showing stitch markins on the inner (top, under lining) portion, even though no thread is there, or purpose for it? Also, where the wreath is sewn on, you can see on the paste board that there were possibly to punch holes for metal insignia? (or was this just to give access for the thread?)

I just judged this on instinct, and still like it. A fake would not likely display this errant chinstrap.
