Kriegsmarine NCO visor cap * help needed-is everything all right?

    Hello Gentlemen,
I am stepping into new waters for me. I have just purchased my first Kriegsmarine visor cap for an NCO. From what I have studied, it appears to be a rather typical example, but I also know that they are extremenly dangerous because of the similarity to post war marine visor caps. I could really use the opinions of those more familiar with these to give me their educated opinions so I can determine if I should keep it, or return it. The one thing I noticed is that the leather sweatband is smaller (not as deep) as Heer or Luftwaffe visor cap sweatbands. Is this an issue? I purchased it from the recent update on the Collectors Guild.
    Thank you,
    Curtiss

                  Curtiss,

Looks good to me, my officers is constructed similar and it also has the narrow sweatband.

Hello Karl, Roya, and KM Spain,
Thank you very much for your comments. Only because I am just a little bit paranoid about the marine to Kriegsmarine conversion fakes, I want to ask about the past board. I tried to take a picture showing the full part of the past board showing stitch markins on the inner (top, under lining) portion, even though no thread is there, or purpose for it? Also, where the wreath is sewn on, you can see on the paste board that there were possibly to punch holes for metal insignia? (or was this just to give access for the thread?)
                        Thank you very much gentlemen,
                        Curtiss

                            Hello Gentlemen,
And, one more thought about the holes in the front of the paste board; they are rather far apart. They look farther apart than what I would anticipate if there had been a metal Kriegsmarine wreath?
                            Thank you,
                            Curtiss

Looks very nice; love the buckle, as so often seen on period photos.
