                IMO this piping is Reichswehr Signals. Based of the light green color of the external band, IMO the hat dates to the early-mid 1930s.

                Krad did not have its own color until October of 1941, Bau used a similar color from 1939-43. I do not think in many cases there was a large difference in the shades of brown used like the greens etc.

                It is a rare cap indeed. I would be tempted to restore it with Weimar insignia or with a RH wreath and first pattern eagle. Those other early hats are beautiful as well!

                  This is from a 1920's guide to the Reichsheer. The waffenrock book has an example that is almost grey. I am not sure what that color relates to but this soft brown is what I have seen on period piped tunics etc. and it is the same as the hat.

                    The cap is not a crusher. It is in the terminology of Germans at the time "broken". Having had the wire removed from the top of the hat that gives it the round shape. Many did this because it gave the apperance of being an old salt.

                      OK , THIS ARE THE CAPS A WAS TALKING ABOUT FIRST CONSTRUCTION AND THEN SIGNAL PRE 1936,YOU CAN'T SEE VERY WELL THE DIFERENCE OF SHADE BETWEEN BOTH BROWN PIPINGS BUT TRUTH ME THE PIPING COLOR OF THE CONSTRUCTION VISOR CAP IS WAY LIGHTER , I DO NOT HAVE A PRO CAMERA SO I WILL DO MY BEST.
