      Hello Willi,

      as I said in post number 25 & 29, "no argument from me"

      I do not like this cap. We were comparing the "ribbed rayon lining on this one with another M43 under investigation which also has a "ribbed" rayon lining.

      I do not like the lining and have not seen it in a pre-May 45 cap that I trust.

      The only thing which might be original, is the olive green/ brown bias material under the flaps and may be the buttons. Perhaps the faker had access to a supply of pre-May 45 not used during the war.

      Hard to say much about the black wool without holding the cap. That too however, is likely bad but a hands on would confirm.

        The guy gave me the hat once I told him it was fake. Now I see why these guys tell everyone their M-43's are fake!
