Saying you have doubts is about the easiest way to discuss anything. If one wants to discuss this hat or any other hat,i am all for it,but i can entertain doubts, give me a break.there is a lot of m-43's ,that never get seen, because of statements like this. I like this hat personaly but I am no expert so if you want to discuss it,fine, insignia, methods of construction, type of material, buttons, etc. then go for it.

Okay, I'll start; I don't like the pulldown loops.

Correct of course; and it seems that I have heard that "line" before.

Pull downs too long, now we are getting somewhere, they are longer than you normally see,but these private taylor hats could be any length. it use to be if a hat had no pull downs it was considered bad,or if they were too short. thanks for the comments so far.

            No sarcasm here Ben, right?
Personally I am always interested to know what Chris think about PZ caps then ... no one knows for sure nothing.

Harry,do you mean the way they are stitched, the lenght or the material used?

Took a few quick shots of the inside, i don't think this is a size no. Just not sure what it is.the liner is gold in color and is made of a high quality polished cotten. The outside perimeter is put together with almost a fine rope or braid.

i don't think it's that strange,to not be dated, i don't think the private purchase items, such as hats and uniforms got such stamps very often. i think we all have seen a lot of items that are right as rain, but yet no markings what so ever. thanks lenny for the interest, and all who have contributed to this discussion so far. it is my personal belief that a lot of good items are dismissed because of non text book labels or marks.

At least it doesn't have a Halfar stamp. Jim

M43 caps are ISSUE items, not private purchase unless they are an officer cap. Just wanted to set the record straight.
