Pekuro infantry visor cap. Opinion pls.

    Hi Friends,
some years back i bought this interesting (at least for me) visor cap which only in the nearly times i learnt it was made from Pekuro from the printings on the sweatshield. For the first, i want tell you that it isn't put togheter or doctored in recent times in any way. What you see, is the original visor cap came out from a house in Germany. It's used but not abused but i like it because has that field operative aspect which lacks on the never used caps and i think is a very good job keep it on a nice collection. Unfortunathely, the silver bullion thread in the middle of the cockade was lost.
About this cap i noticed at least two unusual features:
-the sweatband, has the classical Pekuro black velvet cloth thinest than the usual
-the cap has a smooth surface laquered (not pressed paper) visor sewn on it which is the first time i see on this maker.
I could explain it with the soldier has modified the size of his cap and changed the deep used visor on the field and upgraded it adding bullion insigna for his promotion.
Nothing strange until now; what shocking me is the presence of the smooth like visor which i believed didn't existed on the war features!
Now i'm interested to know your opinions about this cap.
    Regards,
    Alex

                  Ciao Alessandro
sorry but I don't like your hat.
The concern is the sweatband not a Pekuro one,the 'velvet 'you see is not velvet but a thin oilcloth very common on erel and CW,another wrong ting is the lack of the "stirndunkfrei" sistem in the hat but should be because is printed in the sweatshild .
I don't like how is set the lining ,seems to se extra holes.
I pic showing the stiffner will help(under the hood).
This is my opinion but I could be wrong
                  Ciao
                  Carlo

As Carlo pointed out the Stirndruckfrie system is not in place. Looks to be due to a changed out Sweatband, when who knows, but it looks like it was done a long time ago. Now for the extra holes in the liner. There seems to be 2 different threads used to hold the liner in place, these extra holes could be from one of them. Maybe when the sweatband was changed out, some of the original threads were broke, so, to try to fix the problem, they added a second thread. That is just a thought. The pastebaord looks like a Pekuro pastebaord.

Lets see under the sweatband around the back side.

                    Matt

                      Hi Friends,
I can assure you that all the unusual features of this cap came out from the modify who the soldier did in the war. For the purists of this field of collecting is a bit strange but in the war happened these situations as well. Germans was very able to save their used equipments and clothings.
