Maybe someone can get us good pics of both generals and we can have an intelligent conversation instead of “He is great to deal with”. No one doubts his honesty and integrity. I would like to talk about the caps. Not every deal is a visor expert.

If the experts on the WAF Police Forum are to be believed (and they seem a pretty sharp bunch) then the insignia on both wrappers are rather obvious fakes. If the critiques are correct, then an advanced panzer collector is seriously out of pocket.
The dealer - from all accounts - seems to be a good guy. Hopefully this has been bought to his attention.

Generals Hats
I have looked at the allgemeine generals carefully and could not fault it as much as I tried to. It has been some time since I looked at the waffen so I do not want to comment on it. I do know the cap insignia set on it is one of the absolute finest. I remember offering Ron $1000 for the skull some time back but he refused. For sure hats of this nature are highly suspect and subject to great debate. Ron and Kris have a simple policy however. Assuming the dealer thinks the visor is real, shouldn't the price be considerably higher for a Waffen SS general's cap? Even selling on consignment, I'm sure the dealer would inform the owner of the current market value of a real SS general's visor if they don't already know. $16,500 just seems exceedingly low.Comment

This is one crazy hobby - there are no 2 people who agree on whether these caps were "reworked", yet apparently there is no shortage of people who will throw 20K or more at a seller to get one. Is there a name for this psychological disease?:
