Crap Dave In can’t resist. Here is a pic from my fake files. Same cap for the 4th time I looked at it. Take a god look at the grommet. It has been removed from one cap and re-crimped into this one.

We have seen the Alteste, the Rounder and the 'Erel' and are constantly challenged to where one runs out of steam!

I for one am out of steam...

Chuck, with all respect we went around in the same manner regarding the Rounder (fake) Knight's Cross...this too is in the same catagory!

Just so I can’t be accused of being non-educational I will give everyone another clue on Erel originality. The air hole grommet is a great tell. First you never want to see re-crimping. Second, and for educational purposes you NEVER want to see them in black (the internal parts). Black = fake, period! There are no exceptions. These were reproduced by someone in the 1980’s and are found on many rebuilt Erel’s. If you take one apart this is what you will find.
