Morning Gents,
I think the insignia is machine sewn as the threads are short-sewn parallel to one another and make a larger-thicker bead/line as a result. If that makes sense. ha It is a bit sloppy, but again I am not a German uniform expert to know if this is usual or not. I do remember thinking it was fake because the material looked different as well as the insignia to the few other examples I perused. I will try to get better pics for us all to learn from.

Afternoon Gentlemen,
Here are some pics out in the sun. I'm hoping it will bring out a few details. Interestingly, it appears that the buttons are two differing colored paint. I could not find an RB# . Notice the small white hairs and other material in the wool.
