            Here's the photo's I promised. The Vent hole slightly forward of the scallop. The BEVO is machine stiched behind the liner. The center crease is sewn down the middle. The soutache is cotton material and is sewn on with the same color thread. It also has the ends placed through a hole which is correct. The top of the soutache has a pink thread that was attached and sewn at the top of the scallop at one time. The cockade has the green background. In my opinion this is a correct example of an Army Panzer Sidecap.

                Your caps - to include the soutache' on each - look very nice and standard. I'd like to send you a letter of authenticity (juuuust kidding!).
                I cannot tell from the photo of the inside of the officer version, but is it the style with or without the partial sweat band in the front? If it in fact has one, is it gray and does it have a marking? I have run across caps without these sweat bands, with them and marked, and with them but unmarked. By far, I see more with marked sweat bands, but this is by no means a comment that authentic examples must have this characteristic.

                  My officer's cap has the gray satin lining with out sweatband. The only marking is the size stamp in the crown,

                    I much like the shape of both Shiffchen you showed here.
                    The EM one seems to have the bottom edge of the lining hand sewn, as on early-made caps ? Is it right ?
                    Could you provide us a close-up of the silky lining of the officer's cap ?

                    Your cap seems OK but the soutache is not factory applied IMO. If I distinguish rightly, I can see previous stitching lines on the reverse of the front panel.
                    However, the green backed cockade is not at all unusual on Panzer Schiffchen.
