    Panzer Officers Overseas Hat

Hello Forum Members! Once again I am asking for some help on a Pazner Officers Overseas Hat. Any info would be great. I do believe this hat is good but I am no expert. I have provided lots of pictures and if you want a particular one, just PM me.
    Thanks for your help,
    Eric

I've only owned one of these that I know for sure was good so don't take my word on cloth caps as gosphel, I just have a general knowledge of them..
But I suspect this would be private purchase considering it has no vents and the soutache is applied over the edge..or should a private purchase cap be made like this?

I don't like the soutache. It's not properly applied imo.

                  Volkbert,

Can you tell me what is exactly wrong or provide pictures of what is should look like? Do I need to take another photo of a certain part of that hat?
                  Thanks,
                  Eric

Sorry Eric, but that Officer's Panzer Schiffchen doesn't look original :

                    - Machine stitched eagle and cockade is wrong for an officer's cap, especially if so-called "private purchase".
                    - Soutache is wrongly applied (shouldn't run under the bottom edge of the cap).
                    - The lower silver piping should run more backwards (is too short).
                    - The lining looks wartime but lacks the stitching line that theoretically should hold the inner stiffener in place.
                    - The cap has absolutely no shape.

                    Sorry again,
                    Mark

Eric, this is how a soutache must been applied. Hope this helps.

                        Volkbert,

Thank you for the pictures. This will help me in the future when I go to buy another overseas hat. And YES I got the short end of the stick again. I love this hobby so much, but sometimes it can really get you down. Once again, thank you to all for the information.
                        Thanks again,
                        Eric

                          Eric,
Here's one I just picked up today. This is a perfect example of a Heer EM Panzer. It also came with an extra jewel, a letter of authenticity from John Angolia.
