Here's another cap. I can't tell for sure if the eagle has been replaced. The border is faded, but that sometimes happens with cloth like this. George Petersen to me around 25-30 years ago.

          Nice stuff!

I had a Luft forest visor at one time, but i sold it some years back. It had both metal eagle and wreath.

Now sure if this was correct but i was told the wreath should be bulllion, however there was a regulation to change all insignia to metal? Is this correct?

Any thoughts on the visor i once had...these are the only pics i have now.

Stonemint or NTZ are the guys who can tell you more about the construction of these. The only LW ones I've seen had the cloth band instead of velvet, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I'm sure metal insignia could be proper.

                    Hi LDR,
the eagle is not in the middle and I would think it is a civilian forestry cap converted to LW forestry. If they would that proper it is no problem,as the colour is the same, but they are not correct enough with the fixing of the insignia.
DonĀ“t worry about metal insignia. For lower ranks it was normal and also officers could wear metal ones.
                    Regards
                    Stefany

Stefany has told me in a very kind PM that these may be the wrong boards for this bluse, so I wanted to alert everyone to this. These boards weren't on the
bluse when I got it (only the slip-on loops) and so I later got a set from a dealer for display. At the time, I was told that these were correct as the lowest rank for Forestry, but Stefany (who specializes in Forestry and so should certainly know) believes they should have a velvet underlay and be a little darker. If you have a set like the ones Stefany has described, please let me know, as I'm in the market!
                      Thanks,
                      Leroy

I'd like to see a pic or two of what the correct boards look like, if Stefany can provide them! Just so I know what to look for.
