    SS caps for perusal

Gents, I'm a army trader and collector, who when offered mint SS caps gets the jitters big time. Recently at a show, the following two SS hats were offerred. A mint Allg Officer and a Mint Waffen SS Officer.

I have had the bad opinion in the past and still do about muller's AM logo and the text joining the outline of the surrounding border line, I prefer there to be a gap between the letters and the surrounding border line. Ther Waffen Generals text joins the outline.

I am not buying as SS gear is for experts these days. There are obvious fakes abound, I'd just rather buy in army. These two might yield good points for collectors though so I thought I'd post pics.

Apologies for the poor quality pics, I only had a 2 megapixel camera phone, not my usual HP outfit.

Someone said on another thread recently that fakers, more often than not, leave signs of their own handiwork. That's very true and these 2 have been re-worked by the same person IMO. The signs are quite obvious, even from these photos.
What were the price tags just out of interest?

BTW, photo #4 is mixed up.

Hi Ben, pic four is from the Waffen ss gen, oops.

No price was mentioned as owner was trying to gauge interest. As with most things SS my interest is hampered by fakes etc..

The Muller is a pure ground up repro. They have been around for a while but have been popping out everywhere over the last few years. The alg looks like a well know and well executed fake I have seen before. I would need better pics but the cap material is the give away.

Was it a dealer who offered them?
