Both are too mint indeed !
Apart the fake Muller's logo, their whole structures are bad !
I think it was a good thought to display them to increase collectors' knowledge about fakes!

            SS Visors

Too mint has nothing what so ever to do with them being bad. I have had many mint conditioned original German caps.

I didn't realize that there were degrees of 'mint'....mint, nearly mint and TOO mint!

I wonder if a PhD might enable one to decern the difference Herr Dr.

Man, these fake Mullers have really been coming out of the woodwork ever since we outed them--talk about mass-fake-production!

                  Three degrees of "mint".

There are 3 degrees of mint - as we can see by perusing the dealers' websites - "mint", "mega-mint", and "mega-mega mint".

Wow...am I stupid, I thought it was ALMOST MINT, NEAR MINT, AND MINT. I didn't even know that there were conditions beyond mint. I will remember this all the next time I post something for sale on the E-stand to liven up my descriptions.

                      Hi all

I explain myself. I didn't have a mind to establish a vain classification about the "mint" adjective. I only affirmed that in my opinion both visors show, conjointly with other negative peculiarities, absolutely no signs of wearing and aging at all! This is quite impossible for a more than sixty years old visor. I mean only that also the best preserved period visor normally shows very small signs of the times at least!

                      best regards. enorepap

Donald, the German attempt was bad but this Italian is even worse!

What are the signs one looks for in aged textile and particularly "fetted woolens" as you coined in prior posts ??

Share the knowledge as the early 'Alteste' must be showing this by now and surely being offered as original....
                              Regards,
                              Dave

                                Hallo Dave

The only thing I have in common with a Donald is that my nickname is the reverse of Uncle Scrooge (in italian language paperone=enorepap) the Donald Duck's uncle
So, I'm not in the position to reply, owing to my lack of adequate experience about fetted woolens and Alteste visors.
I can only reaffirm that in my opinion both these visors are merely fakes.

                                best regards

                                Marcello
