Another thing that I find odd is the visor color. Every period visor I have seen with a painted or colored sweatband had a matching visor.

The overall 'shape' is wrong for a Pekuro made cap. Additionally, we would expect to find an original (Pekuro) sporting the green lining to also exhibit a green underside to the visor...

It ain't no Pekuro, thats for sure. Its a Franky--your sweatband is for the Forstdienst--Michovius made Forestry effekten during the war, and primarily used Schellenberg as their supplier. Sorry.

This cap was on a dealer's site a few months back and the sweatband was sewn in poorly. The sweatholes at the front were not at the front and the split at the back was not at the back. It disappeared shortly after I asked for additional pics. Is the sweatband still rotated or has it been corrected? I can't tell from these shots.

I think I know what site this was on. IMHO it is not the first nor the last visor on that site I would not be interested in owning.
