Ciao Lelez...thanks for the post....don't know about insigna....difficoult to say...having in hand it really seems original to the hat but I'm not an expert.....two more infos for your study:

looking under the lining no signs of rear stittching.....either on the lining or on the inside of the cap....

rally seems the rust traces on the left of the triangular insigna might be caused by the contact (for a long time) with the rusted buttons......

That could be also an explanation!you know,when you see a hole in the lining,even tho this looks like it s from the wear,you always "worry" for the insignia...It might be the pics but i like the Cap overall anyway!
