Interior has a DLV stamp. The only reference to light-blue piping mentions that it would for for "Angehorige des DLV, Lufthansa, Reichsamt fur Flugsichurung"--but this one (like the one I posted at the start of this thread) has the Segelflieger insignia. Anyone have any thoughts/comments?Attached FilesNEC SOLI CEDIT

A couple of DLV caps....the 1st one is exactly the same as Stonemints - no piping, very "tellerform" in shape, same insignia ind interior, except mine has an early Erel (Robert Lubstein) maker-mark.
The 2nd one is as on p.155 of Halcomb Smith and Wim Saris' book on Headgear, Vol. 2....a DLV motor pilot circa. 1935.
Unfortunately mine has lost its strap somewhere down the years.
BTW both of these were bought off Manions in the good old days!!!Attached Files

Early Luftschutz or refurbished DLV?? Hamburg maker, sorry no liner shots right now...and eagle prongs have been repaired...now partially visible...
The cap comes in fine trikot striped officver's quality wool (unfortunately with some moth tracking damage) + LW type Mohair band. NickAttached FilesLast edited by NickG; 09-16-2007, 04:06 PM.
