    All I can conclude from this, is that you must have really got burnt by one of these HBT's these at some stage.

    Now do not take me wrong because I know your caution is not misplaced but there are a few original HBT lined M43's out there as well as the fakes.

    Watching with interest, Chris

    Good Lord, I had no idea that people were conducting "surveys" of my posts!!

    Not that I can say, however, I could be wrong (it has been know to happen more than I would like to be forced to admit).

    Further, yes, I believe there are certainly Original examples that I am comfortable with that have an HBT lining.

      Thanks for taking offense at what I am trying to say here. We all need to be careful not to give the fakers any more information than what they already have but on the other hand we do not want to make it so hard that new collectors give up because they just can not work it out.

      That is what prompted my comment, a new collector said to me recently that all HBT lined M43's are bad. I said to him, not true but the HBT lining has been an easy choice for the faker.

      Any way all the best and I hope you can see where I am coming from, Chris

          Mr Singer, I have made a mistake in my posting number 32. In my haste, I wrote;

          "Thanks for taking offense" when I had meant to write;

          "Thanks for not taking offense"

          It is me who got this wrong and I thought your reply was fair showing wisdom in the matter.

          I will double check my typing in future and apologise for a posting which had not said what I had meant it to.

          Some days being human is tough

          Chris
