It's my understanding that Erel was the firm that owned the patent for the vented cockade setup commonly seen on their visors. Furthermore, many / most collectors believe that Erel is the only hat that should have these vented cockades on them. I personally believe that these cockades were put on other maker's caps during the war but would like to get the opionions of others. Specifically:
