Amazing...how many collectors buy a bunch of stuff in a small period of time and are suddenly expert enough to rend opinion on such rare items.

Doug its a beautiful cap,Someday I will find one for my display case.

The Only Problem I Can See With This Cap Is It Is Not In My Collection. A Lovely Example Of An Original Black Officer's Cap.

Wow obergruppen, 35 posts and not one intelligent one. Since you seem to actually think you know something about Third Reich collectables why don’t you share some of your rare and brilliant insight with us instead of having 35 posts that say nothing more than “fake”?

Doug, maybe you should start a new thread for this cap, it deserves better than this.

Good eye David. Some manufacturers used a thicker crown piping than others, which is considered to be more desireable by some collectors - including me.

                              Looking good

This cap has a great look - looks "real" at first glance. I've seen lots of pics of the inside of Allg. NCO caps, but very few of Officers'. Does anyone have interior pics - i.e. sweat diamond area - of the officer's, or can you direct me to a thread on this forum where I might find pics?
