SS-officers visor cap

"Waffen SS visor caps have always been the most sought of headgear. A collection is simply not complete wthout one. But we as potentional buyers simply can not afford to purchase cap without troughly inspecting it.

I would appreciate any opinions, coments or thoughts on this visor.

Hello, I know nothing about SS visors...but this cap looks great to me. A very handsome example. Is there a crack in the peak? If so that's a shame, but I like it all the same. Thanks for posting.

Sorry, but the stitching on the lining in the front of the cap in your pictures leaves me with doubts about this cap.

Do you think stiches which are directly on the lyning, aren t they quite usual for the HPC visors?

Good point. I spoke too soon. I just looked my two HPC visor caps - which are both army and have the Frischluft system in them. But, both show the stitching like yours. I never really noticed it before. Probably too focused on the Fischluft system.

It is hard to tell from your pictures, but does the leather sweatband show signs of having been restitched?

Yes it is dificult to make a conclusion based on pictures I have posted yesterday. I will post more detail pictures today in the evening.

Leather sweatband show signs of being restiched or it has bean stiched the other way than HPC visors usualy are. Take a note on a inside stiches, some HPC have velvet (felt) insert between te sweatband. This has it yust in visor area (dark blue velvet) and there is the leather stiched on velvet, but the other part of leather is rounded and stiched directly. On pictures you can see another line of stiches at the end of sweat b (vvvvvvvvv stiches, inside - but noting is beeing stiched with them ). . That part could put some questions - Does it?
