If you got the thumbs up from Dave Kane and NTZ you have a rare gem in hand. Very nice and seasoned too!

Not the best pics, but for what it's worth I like the insignia too.

Thanks for the extra pics. I do find something alarming. Take a look at the pic, I have circled a set of holes in the pasteboard. Nick, Dave what do you think? When I saw them I was thinking an added velvet band?

IMO both things you showed are ok. On some lids it might be a red flag but not here. The stitching at the top of the pasteboard is common on visors. It is were they tacked the cap band to the frame. The visor looks well used so it probably just dry rotted. The sweatband looks ok too. It might have some small repairs but still original to the visor IMO. This visor has an odd sweatband. It is like a ******189; Stirndruckfrei. It is a bit different but period. JM2C

I really like it. I've never seen an SS HPC before, but this is what I would expect. IMHO HPC is the highest quality cap manufacturer of the
TR period, and it shows through in this cap. I also like the simple logo
which makes no mention of the Frischluft system, since this cap does not
of course, utilize it. If there is anything amiss here, I don't see it. Natural
looking wear and tear all the way.

On next pics you can see, that some litlle animals had a "wild" party.
Any sugestions: to leave this part as it is or to restore it ? (My opinion - leave it as it is.)

A very nice M1/72 Zimmermann eagle and a Deschler M1/52 skull in my opinion.

Thank all of you for the education. I have not seen this maker before and it is nice to know what to look for, should such a gem ever surface again.

I think this thread should be pinned. In the last three years or so I think we only seen a small handful of visors we all agree are untouched.
