    EM/NCO Sanitäter schiffchen for review

    Hello Gents

Just thought to post some new and better pictures of a supposed medical sidecap from my collection. Maker Otto Schwartz, size 56, dated 40'.

Now, I added the schoulderboards just to give you an idea of the almost purple look of the soutache in comparison with the piping on the schoulderboards.

What do you guys think about the purple soutache? Due to washing/bleaching?? Note also the damage.

    Any input is highly appriciated!

    Cheers

    Jan

Picture take with flash...difference in waffenfarbe is less visible.

Interesting Lelez, I'm not really into other branches, but I must admit that I already felt somewhat unconfortable with the purple color.

My reference material on different waffenfarbes is very limited, so if someone could educate me a bit here?

            Cheers

Have a look behind the front flaps for the true soutache color. Not neberwerfer in my opinion.

Glenn, I already thought of that but I'm not able to pull aside the front flaps in a way that I can take a clear picture. I don't want to destress them.

I had a peak though and a small piece is visible. As far as my eyes tell me as it is really very small, its the same color.

It's not easy to get a good image of it, but with the naked eye, it's definatly purple.

If you doubt the Nebelwerfer color, what branche did you had in mind then? Medical after all?

                Cheers

                      Hello Jan,
what colour is the woolen cloth the shoulderboards are made of ?
                      Feldgrau or dark Feldgrau ?
                      ciao!

Here is a nebelwerfer hat if you want to compare.

It looks like chaplain but I think the photo in post #5 shows the actual color best. That would be typical for Med. Jan can you confirm?
