Thanks Bob and Mike for your input,
So we have some who think its Chaplain (besides the fact that no period picture exist of chaplains wearing EM style sidecaps) and others who think it's medical afterall. Guys, to be honest, I don't know it anymore. It's just very difficult for me to get the real color with my pre-war camera...It also depends what you use for lighting and how your screen-options are setup.
Now, take a look at these later war medical shoulderstraps which I found in the closet (well, at least I hope they are medical ) !
Compare them first with the pre-war NCO straps 1sweat:Attached Files'Arzt und Soldat'

I'm willing to accept it's medical (more then you guys think), but you see clearly the differences in that picture,no?
Thanks to all of the members for taking the time helping me out!
Cheers

I agree with Lasse Kongo. In my book its also medical! Chaplains were honerary officers who did not even wear shoulderboards and their staff most likely were verwaltungstruppen (administrative green waffenfarbe) is my theory. I doubt that religious purple ever was issued to non coms, never seen any clergy artifacts below officer's "rank". The flash an lack of natural light and aging (fading) perhaps is playing games with everybodies eyes, but I would love to see somebody proove me wrong, as I've never ever come acroos low ranking clergy artifacts! Nick.
Is natuurijk gewoon medisch hoor, precies wat je nodig hebt!!Last edited by NickG; 04-18-2007, 03:29 PM.
