Ok I am going to be different here. I like it. I don’t see anything wrong with it other than it is an odd maker. I don’t think the shield looks plastic. It looks like the thin cello to me. The peak stiffener looks to be period. Maybe I will stand alone on this one but I think she is period.
Is the shied really thin and soft when you touch it? Does is have a weird crinkling sound when you press on it?

Kreager I will give you the extra hole. It is odd. Regarding the imprint in front on the sweatband. This was from the orange sponge. Some visors had it affixed to the cap base and some right to the sweatband. This one had it at one time affixed to the sweatband. The wrinkle is to be expected on a pressed paper sweatband. I have seen 100% pure originals much worse. My only concern on the visor is the use of the term “uniformhaus”. I have never seen that terminology used on a period visor. I would expect to see that used on a post war West German visor though. It did cross my mind that it could be early West German but what visor would the West Germany army have that looked like a Heer medical? It is not any form of reproduction in my opinion. Maybe I am wrong I don’t know.

Trying to follow-up, thanks all for your input so far...
NTZ you asked: Is the shied really thin and soft when you touch it? Does is have a weird crinkling sound when you press on it?
Do you mean the polygon with the makers mark? Sorry, for asking as I******180;m not used with visors.

I still have a bad feeling about all those extra holes in the liner behind the SB.
