    My Very First Visor

Hi guys, having finally settled on the best settings for taking indoor pictures with my digital camera I thought I would post some of the first visor I ever bought, back when I was a an all but penniless high school student. Although it is in delicate condition it does not at least qualify to be in the "Worlds Worst Hats" thread. I like it, what are your opinions?

                  9) When I first saw it it had a Luftwaffe EM wreath.

Thanks for showing this to us. Question though Has the leather been restitched all the way around including around where the visor is located? Just asking. It almost looks like an government issue NCO's leather.

The sweatband is not leather but a leather substitute (Alkor I believe). It could be original to the cap. Nice uncommon mark though. I like it even with the repairs.

Well, I checked the sweatband veeeery carefully and can say that the grey thread begins on each side about an inch past the cap button and goes all around the rear half of the cap. No sign of the grey thread on the visor half, only the hard to see original sewing/fastening of band to visor to cap band.

But since pictures speak louder than words, here are two quick pics. It also shows the material used for the sweatband NTZ.
